Abstract

The education system in the Russian Federation is constantly evolving, encompassing all levels and stages of education. Its transformation is driven by the new conditions and needs of the 21st-century society. The education reform is aimed at shifting towards active learning and fostering the creative individuality of students. This paper proposes the model of an individual educational trajectory for developing literary competence in undergraduate philology students. It is crucial to not only change formal aspects but also the content of education to meet global educational standards.

The methodological model of developing literary competence involves several stages: studying theory, analyzing literary works, exploring historical and cultural contexts, mastering research methods, and completing practical assignments. The application of individualized educational trajectories will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of literature and develop research skills. The model presented in this paper is based on a structural-logical approach.

To create a methodological model for the development of literary competence in fourth-year undergraduate philology students through an individual educational trajectory, subject-activity, communicative-cognitive, and integrative-differentiated approaches were employed. These approaches in education help future philologists become competitive professionals ready to tackle complex tasks. It is demonstrated that these approaches contribute to forming a comprehensive educational system that supports students' further professional development. These approaches are also aimed at the holistic development of the individual, determining motivation, reflection, and adaptation to the demands of the professional environment. Knowledge assessment and the development of literary competencies should be carried out using a systematic approach that ensures a deep understanding of language and literature in the sociocultural context.
