Abstract
The complexity of the image system in Dostoevsky‘s prose admits a variety of opportunities for its differentiation. The images of the central characters often changes in novel preparatory materials but the final version of these characters do not change and strictly follow the author's concept. Images of the minor characters are characterized by inverse dynamics. During the creation of the final version the author gives rein to the imagination, and the secondary characters can compete with the principal heroes.
