Abstract
The author of the article investigates the activities of "The Rhymers’ Club " as the Anti-Victorian reaction of the last decades of the nineteenth century. Define the place of this movement in the context of the literature of decadence; special attention is paid to the images and symbols of the poem by E. Dawson "Cynara", which is the emblem poetry of the English decadence.
