Abstract
In this article we compare Sorokin’s novel "Roman" and Goncharov’s novel "The Precipice". The comparison let us reveal some of the common special features of the writers’ poetics. This can be motified by the aspect that how Sorokin destroys and rebuilds the elements and functions of Goncharov’s poetics. We analyze the semantic process and the figurative order of texts. They are necessary elements in building a common problematization of the novel genre.
