Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of I. Annensky’s poems that contain the image of a candle that allow to clear up the motive-thematic complex owing to which the symbolism of revealing subject detail is developed. Taking into account that the image of the candle is practically connected with all the key topics of I. Annensky’s lyrics (love, creation, death) in the article is moved forward and proved the supposition about its particular role in the poetic world of the author that consists in the realization by means of this symbol the sense interaction of different motive-thematic blocks.
