Abstract
In the article the historiosophical idea and an artistic image of "the creating Spirit", mainly on material of two poems of S.S. Bobrov on death of the empress Catherine II is considered. The death of one of "geniuses" of Russia conducts the thought of the poet to the metaphysical sphere – the knowledge of "dialectics" of life and death which almost inaccessible to the person in the earth.
