Abstract
Festival projects such as the international festival Videostikhiya (Magnitogorsk) are becoming a significant factor determining the development of video poetry. Viewers and participants have the opportunity to see the features and trends of the gradual development of video poetry in the most concentrated form. The author of the article is a director of video clips, whose creative experience can be useful for novice video poets. В. V. Kolesnik has repeatedly participated in the international festival of video poetry "Videostikhiya". In 2023 she became the winner in the nomination "Modern Poetry" and was awarded a diploma of 2nd degree for the video on A. Kaftanov's poem "Alive".
In the article the peculiarities of video poetry creation are analysed first of all from the point of view of practice, at the same time the scholars are offered a field for setting research tasks. В. V. Kolesnik considers video poetry not only as creativity, but also as a process of film production. The work defines the features of collective and individual production, and outlines the prospects for the development of video poetry from the perspective of its creator. The author of the article shares her thoughts on the difficulties and resource-consuming nature of the individual process of creating video clips, on the possibility of using personal photos, film and music fragments without copyright infringement, mastering the art of collage. The author also considers the prospects of creating video poetry as a team project involving specialists: cameramen, editors, sound designers, actors, composers, etc.; considers the ways of promoting and commercialising poetry clips. The article outlines the problem of studying the genre diversity of video poetry, and raises the question of the ways of communication between video poets and viewers.
