Abstract
The article not only analyzes E. I. Kostrov’s "Poems on the day of accession to the throne of Catherine II" (1796). But also reveals typological references with the 81st psalm, poems by G. R. Derzhavin "To sovereigns and judges" and the text of the "Anecdote" written by G. R. Derzhavin in connection with the misinterpretation of his alteration of the psalm at the empress's court.
