Abstract
The article is devoted to professor of philology of Moscow State University (MSU), the founder of Fine Arts Museum, which developed into gigantic cultural educational institution of Russia – Pushkin Museum. Professional fate of the outstanding scientist is closely connected with his civic stand and social activities. Implementing his idea, I. V. Tsvetaev left not only fond memories of himself but working monument for further generations.
