Abstract

The article is devoted to the scientific activity of the founder of modern jangar science, a branch of national and international folklore, a well-known scientist with world recognition Anatoly Shalkhakovich Kichikov. The author reveals the multifaceted activity of the scientist as an epistemologist, literary critic, publicist, translator, author of textbooks and dictionaries for teachers and schoolchildren of Kalmykia. The article traces educational activities and analyzes the heritage of the scientist and teacher. Multidimensional creative works of A. Sh. Kichikov as a prominent representative of the Kalmyk people who survived illegal repression and exile to Siberia, serve as an example of devotion to his people and the chosen cause.
