Abstract
The article presents the analysis of the diaries of the outstanding Russian composer of the XX century G. V. Sviridov «The Music as the Destiny» in aspect of theoretical and literary views of the composerinterpreter of Russian literature. The composer came to understanding of «the Active Art» and the concept of «the Synthesis of Words and Music» in early 1970s. In the book «The Music as the Destiny» musicological analysis is accompanied by literary «parallels». G. V. Sviridov perceives the deepest meanings in texts of Russian literary classics, using elements of semiotics and hermeneutics analyzing the work of art.
