G. R. Haggard and O. Schreiner`s novels are regarded in the article from the point of the novel of purpose view. Its characteristic features are determined in the article. The uniqueness of female theme solution in “African” novels of Haggard and Schreiner is shown by the author of this work. Haggard`s “Beatrice” is considered from the point of the novel of purpose view.
