Abstract
The article is devoted to description of the Russian adverbial fixed phrases with spatial semantics in the linguistic and cultural aspect. On the one hand, the author explores the general cultural, universal attributes of these units (in particular anthropocentricity), on the other hand, their ability to create a unique phraseological image of space, reflecting the mental peculiarities of the Russian people.
