Abstract

The subject of this study is the peculiarities of the implementation by philology students of a multimedia lexicographic project designed for foreign speakers mastering Russian as a foreign language at the B1 level. The purpose of the work is to describe the various multimedia components of the project, indicating their place and role in its overall structure and to assess the difficulties encountered by the project participants. The main research methods are introspective and analytical. Their relevance is due to the fact that the author was one of the project participants and could observe it at all stages of implementation, starting with the formulation of goals, setting tasks, assigning roles, continuing with the selection of material and independent improvement of methodological literacy of the project team members and ending with the creation of the final product.

The main results of the work are to comprehend one of the effective methods of implementing the project activities of students of philology through the creation of a fragment of a basic explanatory dictionary for foreign speakers and the development of their skills of creative activity in the methodological sphere. The paper describes the usage of audio, graphic, photographic and video materials by the project participants and the creation of the product in the form of a presentation with a system of links. The product included the abovementioned materials. The novelty of the research is the description of one of the possible approaches to involving students at the early stages of receiving a liberal arts education in scientific and methodological activities involving the development of the ability to create their own multimedia teaching products. The practical significance of the work is seen in the fact that its research results can be useful to teachers using the method of project activity in the language-oriented educational process.
