Abstract
The subject of the study is the peculiarities of the use of the language tools in the implementation of the speech strategy of discrediting. The purpose of this work is to describe the linguistic means of implementing the discrediting strategy, to identify the goals of its use. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the strategy under consideration is characterized by high conflict potential and is destructive, but at the same time has a high level of impact, which leads to the formation of a negative image of someone in the mass recipient. As tactics used in the implementation of the discrediting strategy, the tactics of analysis-"minus", the tactics of accusation, the tactics of denunciation, the tactics of mockery, the tactics of insult were considered. The following methods were used to conduct the research: semantic description, semantic analysis, contextual analysis, semantic-syntactic analysis. In this article, the implementation of the discrediting strategy is considered on the basis of the statements taken from media texts. The main results of the work were the identification of the fact that the discrediting strategy is aimed at creating a negative image of the object, which is mainly achieved by using speech units of an evaluative nature. Also, discrediting was considered as a type of verbal aggression, which is one of the ways of verbal influence on the addressee. The significance of the study lies in the fact that now media texts are the most common type of information transmission, due to the knowledge of influencing tactics, it is possible to avoid the influence they are aimed at. The novelty of the work lies in the analysis of fragments of media texts at the regional level, in the description of new means and ways of implementing the strategy of speech discrediting.
